About Narconon Drug Education

We started delivering drug education programs at schools in 1999 after Robert van der Feyst, the nowexecutive director, returned from successful rehabilitation at a Narconon Centre in Denmark.

Having struggled with addiction for over half his life, he wanted to help youth avoid that road and share with them practical ways to improve life so as not to ever ‘need’ drugs to try make life better.

He was later joined by Sam Mogorossi, who had just completed the Narconon Program in the recently opened centre in Johannesburg.  Together, they formed the executive structure and have been joined by other permanent staff and volunteers to reach nearly 500 000 youth at schools and millions more via radio and TV.
