This is our main service. The purpose is to reduce drug use by handling the reasons people get attracted to them in the first place. For example; many say that marijuana (dagga) is ‘good for you’ because it is a ‘herb’ and has ‘medical uses’. Imagine someone growing up and hearing this over and over again? After a while they might believe it and when offered, might accept. False information is a factor in the increased use of drugs. There are others like the role advertising plays in promoting alcohol, curiosity, the desire for independence and many more. Our program addresses the causes and provides the facts that prove that drug use will not make life better no matter how nice some people say it is or how ‘cool’ it is made out to be. The name of our program is "The Truth about Drugs".

For the past 10 years we have been monitoring our programs through questionnaires the students fill out before and after. This information we use to ensure we stay current and as effective as possible.

Some examples are:

One of the outcomes we strive for is that the attendees want to pass on what they have learned. The way we ensure this is by making the program interesting and enlightening so they want to tell their friends what they now know. We also give out booklet called "10 THINGS YOUR FRIENDS MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT DRUGS" that explains everything we cover simply and with pictures so they can easily educate their friends. Here are results that measure this:
